What is Pickora Quiz?
Pickora Quiz is a product recommendation quiz app for SHOPLINE. Merchants create questions and transparent recommendation paths, and shoppers receive SHOPLINE product recommendations based on their answers.
How does product recommendation work?
Each enabled Recommendation Path contains answer conditions and one or more products. When a shopper finishes the quiz, Pickora evaluates the active path conditions, validates the referenced SHOPLINE products, preserves the configured product order, applies the maximum-results limit, and returns deliverable products.
Does Pickora use black-box AI to decide recommendations?
No. The current recommendation engine is merchant-controlled and rule-based. Merchants can see which answers are used, which products a path returns, and can run Test recommendation before publishing.
Which question types are supported?
Pickora supports single choice, multiple choice, and image choice. Single/image choices can automatically advance to the next visible question on the storefront.
What is Conditional Flow Lite?
A later question can be shown only when one earlier question contains a specific required answer. Each question supports one lightweight condition. Pickora intentionally avoids complex AND/OR flow canvases so the setup remains understandable.
Can Pickora handle stores with thousands of products?
Yes. The admin uses server-side SHOPLINE product search and cursor-based pagination instead of loading the full catalog into the browser. Results are loaded in small batches, and selected products remain attached to the quiz while merchants search or load more.
Why does Pickora refresh selected products?
A saved product snapshot can become stale when a product is archived, republished, changed, or recreated in SHOPLINE. Pickora refreshes selected products and performs stricter live checks for recommendation products before publishing so the admin state matches what can actually be delivered on the storefront.
What are Fallback Products?
Fallback Products are optional backup recommendations. They are used when no enabled recommendation path produces deliverable products. They help prevent a shopper from reaching an empty result state.
What does Maximum Recommendations do?
It limits the number of products shown in the final result, from 1 to 6, while keeping the configured recommendation order.
What is Recommendation Status?
Recommendation Status is a merchant-facing configuration check, not a score. Ready means the quiz has a usable product pool and valid enabled recommendation paths. Needs review means a path contains an invalid/deleted reference, duplicate conflict, or currently unavailable recommendation product. Needs setup means required recommendation configuration is still missing.
What is Test recommendation?
Test recommendation runs a selected path through Pickora’s live recommendation-delivery checks from the admin. It shows the expected answers, whether the rule matches, current SHOPLINE product state, and the final deliverable product count.
How does storefront Reach work?
Each Quiz has one storefront Reach mode: Popup + launcher, Launcher only, Popup only, or Off. One shared targeting rule set controls the storefront experience, including page, device, visitor, locale, market, and optional URL conditions. When a launcher is enabled, it uses exactly one style: Floating or Side. Popup timing and frequency belong only to the Popup portion of Reach. A Dedicated Quiz Page is configured separately and can provide a direct Quiz URL even when storefront Reach is Off.
What is a Dedicated Quiz Page?
A merchant can publish a Quiz to its own Pickora-managed page path and use that URL in navigation, campaigns, or other entry points. The page uses the same published Quiz journey and recommendation configuration, while its page-shell setting is separate from Popup/launcher Reach.
Will a Popup keep appearing repeatedly?
Popup frequency can be configured per session, per day, or for every eligible page view. The selected Reach mode, targeting, popup frequency, and shopper lifecycle state together determine whether automatic opening is eligible.
What shopper information can Lead Capture collect?
A merchant can optionally enable first name, last name, email, and/or phone collection. Email marketing is configured separately. Merchants can use checkbox consent, where the shopper chooses whether to subscribe, or submit-action consent, where the displayed consent message explains that submitting the email records marketing consent. Pickora does not require Lead Capture for a quiz to work.
Where is Lead Capture information stored?
Lead fields and any recorded marketing consent are saved with the Pickora quiz response. Merchants can review completed responses in Analytics and export them as CSV. They remain responsible for using collected information consistently with their storefront privacy notice and applicable law.
Can I edit or remove customer information?
Yes. In Analytics → Customers, merchants can add customers, correct contact details, block or unblock email addresses, and remove stored customer contact information while retaining anonymized historical quiz-response analytics.
Can I connect Pickora to Klaviyo?
Yes. Merchants can connect a Klaviyo account from Integrations. New identified completions can send the Completed Pickora Quiz event, customer/recommendation context, profile attributes, and optional Pickora Tags. If the merchant enables marketing-list subscription syncing, Pickora requests a subscription only after the Quiz records email marketing consent using the configured checkbox or submit-action method.
What is Pickora Email?
Pickora Email is the built-in follow-up option available on eligible plans. A Quiz can use Pickora to send an immediate result email plus optional reminder/final follow-ups. Templates can include the Quiz result, recommended products, recommendation reason, prices, CTA links, and an eligible Quiz Offer. Reminder/final steps are purchase-aware and require marketing consent.
Can Pickora Email and Klaviyo send the same Quiz follow-up?
Each Quiz has one email-delivery owner: Pickora, Klaviyo, or none. Pickora stores that delivery-provider choice with the Quiz/submission so the native flow and Klaviyo automation can be configured without intentionally sending duplicate follow-up emails for the same Quiz. Klaviyo data synchronization can remain enabled even when Pickora owns email delivery.
How does unsubscribe work for Pickora Email?
Pickora marketing follow-up emails can include a signed unsubscribe link. After confirmation, Pickora stops marketing follow-ups for that store and email address. A transactional Quiz result message may still be sent when the Quiz is configured to send it without requiring marketing consent.
How do Quiz Offers and discount codes work?
Merchants connect an existing SHOPLINE discount campaign to a Quiz Offer. Pickora reads the campaign/code pool, validates scope and availability, and can assign an eligible unique code to a durable shopper identity so retakes do not keep consuming new codes for the same offer. The code can be shown on the storefront and, when enabled, included in Pickora Email. Pickora also tracks assignment, display/copy activity, remote use, and attributed redemption. Pickora does not create or edit SHOPLINE discount rules.
What analytics are available?
Pickora records views, starts, question answers, completions, product clicks, add-to-cart events, discount interactions, and paid-order attribution. Order analytics show attributed orders, quiz-attributed line revenue, and conversion funnels using the same started-submission cohort so Starts → Completions → Orders is not inflated by unrelated orders.
How can I understand where shoppers drop off?
Analytics includes Question Drop-off so merchants can compare how many eligible shoppers reached each question and where the journey lost participation. This complements completion and order conversion reporting without changing the Quiz recommendation rules.
How does Pickora identify orders generated by a Quiz?
When Pickora adds a recommended product to the SHOPLINE cart, it attaches a hidden Pickora submission identifier to that cart line. After a paid-order event or merchant-requested historical sync, Pickora validates that identifier against the same store, links the paid order to the Quiz response, and attributes only the tagged line-item revenue to the Quiz. The full order total is kept separately as assisted order value.
Can Pickora attach Quiz data to the SHOPLINE order?
Yes. In Analytics → Orders, merchants can enable Order Data to attach the Quiz/result and recommended products to attributed SHOPLINE orders, and can enable a separate fixed quiz order tag. The tag is added only after checkout succeeds for an order that contains a product line added through the Quiz. Copying the shopper’s Quiz answers into the order remains a separate privacy-sensitive option and is off by default.
Does Pickora support A/B testing?
Yes. Experiments can compare eligible published Quiz variants and track attributed storefront activity. The experiment selects the Quiz variant; the selected Quiz’s Reach configuration remains the only authority for whether and how it appears on the storefront.
How do Basic, Pro, and the Pro trial differ?
Plan availability depends on the store’s SHOPLINE sales region. During an eligible 7-day Pro trial, all Pro features are available. The current Basic entitlement allows one published Quiz and core features but excludes A/B Test and Pickora Email. Pro enables unlimited published Quizzes, A/B Test, Pickora Email, and the complete Pickora feature set. The current price and purchasable plan are shown in SHOPLINE plan selection.
What should I check if a shopper gets no recommendations?
First run Test recommendation. Confirm that the expected path is enabled, its answer conditions match, its products are selected, and the products are Active with usable variants in SHOPLINE. Configure Fallback Products if you want a safety net for unmatched paths.
Why can a product look selected but not be recommendable?
Pickora stores product snapshots for configuration, but SHOPLINE product state can change later. Refresh product status or run Test recommendation. Pickora may mark a product unavailable if SHOPLINE reports it as archived/draft/missing or if no usable variant can be resolved.
How do I enable Pickora on the storefront?
Install/authorize Pickora through SHOPLINE Admin, create and publish a Quiz, then enable the Pickora App Embed once in the SHOPLINE Theme Editor and save the theme. Shopper-facing behavior such as Popup/launcher mode, targeting, branding, and commerce settings is owned by each Quiz in Builder rather than duplicated on the Storefront page. Dedicated Quiz Pages use their published page URL as an additional entry path.
Is Pickora mobile responsive?
Yes. The storefront quiz and result experience include mobile-specific layouts, compact result cards, sticky navigation, safe-area handling, and responsive desktop/mobile behavior.
How is shopper privacy handled?
Merchants decide whether Lead Capture and marketing consent are enabled. Pickora also processes quiz answers and event data needed to operate recommendations, Reach, Quiz Offers, Pickora Email, order attribution, and analytics. Marketing follow-ups that require consent are suppressed when consent is absent or the shopper has unsubscribed. Review the Privacy Policy on this site for details, and provide an appropriate storefront privacy notice for your own customer relationship.
How can I request data deletion or get support?
For store-data, shopper-data, privacy, or technical support requests, Use the developer support channel shown on the Pickora Quiz listing in the SHOPLINE App Store. Include the SHOPLINE store domain/handle and enough detail to identify the affected quiz or submission, but do not send passwords or access tokens.
